DISABILITY SERVICES
THK
Homes for DisabledTHK Homes for Disabled cater to individuals with intellectual disabilities, addressing various needs and circumstances.
Since its inception in 1989, the THK Home for Disabled @ Eunos has evolved from providing residential care for children with intellectual disabilities to offering long-term residential care for adults. The expansion includes individuals with high levels of community skills who do not require institutional care.
THK Home for Disabled Adults @ Chai Chee, established in 1997, focuses on long-term residential care, emphasising support for adults with limited caregiver assistance and those from low-income families.
THK Home for Disabled Adults @ Sembawang, founded in April 2018, extends its services to adults aged 17 to 55 diagnosed with intellectual disabilities, Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), and other co-morbidities. FAQ
THKMC has three ADHs. Enrolment is through referrals from SG Enable and subject to assessment and eligibility. For more information on the application process and eligibility criteria, please visit the SG Enable website.
The fees may vary according to the programmes that the applicant is enrolled in. All government-funded programmes, including ADHs, have subsidy schemes in place to help families defray the cost of programme fees. National means-testing will be conducted to determine the amount of subsidies to be provided.
SG Enable will provide information on the estimated wait time for enrolment upon assessing and submitting the referral to the ADH.
Respite care services are for PwDs whose caregivers are unable to care for them for a short period. All three Homes for Disabled provide short-term respite care services and crisis placements classified under MSF Vulnerable Adults category.
