Artmaking can be overwhelming for some of the children due to the potentially unfamiliar sensory experiences, including Irwanshah. He is usually hesitant to engage artmaking during sessions.
During this session, however, Irwanshah initiated interest in the cardboard pieces by voluntarily stacking them on his paper as though building structures. He first composed the pieces flat on the paper before proceeding to layer or overlap the cardboard pieces. With some guidance, Irwanshah also picked up the brush roller to spread a thin coat of paint over the cardboard collage before creating a print of it.
Through this fruitful session, Irwanshah shows his developing growth and curiosity towards art and materials.
