Minister Tan Chuan-Jin’s book launch
On 29th August 2014 at the National Library, The Pod, Manpower Minister Tan Chuan-Jin sold more than 300 copies of his photobook named, “The World We Live in”.
The contents of this photographic art were some of his works during his travel around the world. The evening saw philanthropist, entrepreneurs and generous donors all coming to do their bit to help raise $900,000 from the auctioning of several art-pieces taken from Minister Tan’s book.
Thye Hua Kwan Moral Charities was one of the beneficiaries of the book launch. Sales of books went as high as $1,000 each, where donors could dedicate the sale to one of their desired charity.
