This artwork was made during a session where the group was invited to draw their most favourite place that they enjoyed spending time at.
Zhixin picked up a crayon and started to draw a person. She pointed to it and said that it was her. She proceeded to fill the page with details of a sunny day at the beach. She drew the background to be the beach and the foreground to be the sea where there is a scuba diver decked in his equipment swimming past. She proceeded to draw a pirate ship in the sea and a treasure chest on land. She explained that her mother (on the left) and herself were on a treasure hunt to find the chest.
Inspired by her family’s visit to the Sea Aquarium, Zhixin dove straight into her illustration of the beach and even added many detailed elements of a fun adventure of a treasure hunt with her mother. She has a keen sense of imagination and an eye for detail in creating a very descriptive image!
