Discernment on divorce

Deciding on the future of a marriage can be difficult. Discernment Counselling programme is intended to help couples gain clarity and confidence in deciding the future of their marriage, and help individuals recognise their contributions to their relationship. The program is not marital counselling. Rather, it helps couple to make a clearer decision.

Children-in-Between (CiB) programme for parents

Children-in-Between (CiB) programme for parents provides knowledge and skills on reducing parental conflicts and help them become more aware of the negative effect on children when they are caught in the middle of parental conflict.

Children-in-Between (CiB) for children

Children-in-Between (CiB) programme for children (6 to 15 years of age) is a 6-hour program, 3 sessions of 2 hours each. During each session, children will gain an understanding of the myths and truths about divorce, learn skills to share their feelings with their parents, and learn positive ways of coping with their parents’ divorce.

Parenting Pact (PP)

For uncontested divorces, couples are also required by the Court to attend a Parenting Pact. The programme aims to help divorced parents with children under the age of 21 years old understand the impact of divorce on their children, learn cooperative co-parenting strategies and practice self-care.

Mediation

FAM@FSC (Thye Hua Kwan CFH – Commonwealth) partners with Singapore Mediation Centre to offer mediation services for parents who wish to reach an agreement on their divorce arrangement. A meditation agreement sets the stage for a healthier divorce when a certain agreement is reached before heading for divorce.
