Yap Chee Geeโ€™s dynamic performance with his puppet parrot brought much cheer of our residents with his powerful vocal rendition of familiar oldies and interesting dialect chats.Ventriloquism is a performance technique that involves speaking with the tongue and using restricted facial movement to create the illusion that the voice is coming from somewhere else, such as a puppet. It is a difficult technique to learn because it involves controlling one's voice. Yap Chee Gee has been performing in Singapore, Malaysia, and Shanghai since 1988. In 2010, he was a finalist on "China's Got Talent," and in 2011, he won the "Most Innovative Performance" Award for his ventriloquism act.THKMC welcomes volunteers to help or perform, to uplift our clientsโ€™ lives. If youโ€™d like to volunteer to bring a smile to our residents, please contact us at corpcomms@thkmc.org.sg. If youโ€™re like to donate to enable our beneficiaries to live better, we welcome your gift at www.giving.sg/thye-hua-kwan-moral-charities-limited. ... See MoreSee Less
