Mr Tan Hong Boon

Mr Tan Hong Boon has more than 30 years of experience in the real estate industry, covering local and regional valuation, research, consultancy, investment, and advisory work. He is currently the Executive Director & Founder, AlpsEdge Real Estate Pte Ltd. Previously, he was an Executive Director with the Fortune 500 international property consultancy firm Jones Lang LaSalle Property Consultants Pte Ltd (“JLL”) and led the Land & Collective Sales Team in JLL Singapore’s Capital Markets Team. He has personally concluded many of the headline grabbing real estate investment transactions.

Prior to joining JLL in 2012, Mr Tan was the Deputy Managing Director of Credo Real Estate (Singapore) Pte Ltd, a local boutique real estate consultancy specialising in investment sales/capital market deals. He was credited for restructuring the firm and co-leading it to become the No. 1 market leader in land and collective sales in Singapore, culminating to a merger and acquisition by JLL, with him and his team joining the capital markets team in JLL.

Mr Tan graduated with a Bachelor of Science (Estate Management) (Honours) degree from the National University of Singapore and obtained a Master of Business Administration (Financial Studies) from the University of Nottingham in the U.K. He is a Licensed Appraiser, a member of the Singapore Institute of Surveyors and Valuers (SISV) and a member of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (RICS).

In addition to his professional duties, he has been actively involved with the industry regulator and organisation to improve and uplift the standards and professionalism of the real estate agencies businesses. He has been serving on various committees with the Council for Estate Agencies (CEA) including the Licensing & Practice Committee (2010 – 2016), the Disciplinary Panel (2016 – 2018) and now the Professional Development Committee (since October 2018).

Mr Tan has served as an EXCO Member of the Singapore Estate Agents Association (SEAA) for the 2021/23 term and the Treasurer for 2023/2025. He also served on the Board of External Examiners of the Ngee Ann Polytechnic’s Diploma in Real Estate Business course in 2011- 2015, 2019 – 2023.
