To Enable our Children, Empower their Families and Inspire our Staff & Community

THK EIPIC Centres offer differentiated programmes which address the diverse learning needs of children and their families, focusing on their individual progress and functional outcomes. This empowerment enables seamless integration into the community.

Our holistic intervention approach builds on each child’s individual developmental level. We are driven by functional Global Child Outcomes (GCOs) based on the Early Childhood Holistic Outcomes (ECHO) framework.

Physical Education (PE)

In collaboration between THK EIC and Therapy Services, the Physical Education (PE) programme offers a fun platform for fostering children’s physical development. This initiative seeks to not only strengthen and cultivate children’s muscle strength and motor skills, but also to enhance balance, flexibility, brain-body coordination, and overall physical health. The programme encourages active participation in physical activities, contributing to a holistic approach to children’s well-being.

Creative Arts Therapy (Music and Art)

Under our Creative Arts Therapy, our passionate team of Music and Art Therapists harness the power of music and art to actively engage children, recognising the pivotal role these modalities play in a child’s development. Through music-making and creative explorations, we not only guide children in the learning process, but also provide an additional platform for emotional regulation and self-expression.

Under 2s

Our Under 2s programme, designed to empower caregivers of children under 24 months old, is conducted at our centres for 2 – 4 hours per week, incorporating home visits. In this programme, children receive intervention while caregivers are enabled through collaborative coaching to facilitate their child’s development.

Transition Programme

Our Transition Programme is designed to comprehensively prepare children for the transition to school and life beyond EIPIC. Rooted in Bronfenbrenner’s Ecological Systems Theory, our programme considers the influence of the entire social environment on a child’s development and readiness. Acknowledging the multi-faceted nature of the transition phase, we actively collaborate with families and proactively seek opportunities to engage with the community, working together to foster inclusivity.

Development Support Plus (DS+)

DS+ supports children with lower levels of support needs or those who have made significant progress in THK EIPIC Centres to transition effectively into receiving support in their preschools. The programme employs a collaborative partnership approach with preschool teachers, conducting 2 – 4 hours per week over a span of 3 to 6 months, ensuring enhanced participation for the children in their preschool environments.
